RED DOT DESIGN AWARD

MY FELTBOOTS SHOES FROM LITHUANIA HAVE WON THE PRESTIGIOUS RED DOT AWARD

Lithuanian born designer Daiva Zgrabske has won the prestigious the Red Dot award: Honourable mention for my feltboots shoes design in international design competition.  Her pure shoes design fascinated the international panel of experts and the Oscar-winning design award known as the “Red Dot” was awarded to her in the product design category.

“Such international experts’ acknowledgment is very inspiring and no doubt this is the highest design quality rating. I am very proud to receive the Red Dot award” - says Daiva Zgrabske who also has got national awarding in Best Design 2012.

Long top feltboots for women are exceptionally elegant and sophisticated. They are made from natural wool felt. The main design accents such as especially high-top shoe and authenticity - a part of the foot has been coated with natural leather which resembles authentic rubber shoe valenki. Embroidered with playful moose silhouette it is a unique look for a modern urban woman.

„Designing the shoes I have set a goal to myself to make such a footwear collection that is naturaly warm, practical and very important has a stylish outlook as well. The Red Dot award approves this is innovative and functional solution of design that jury stated out of 4815 design works from 53 countries,- assumes designer of my feltboots Daiva Zgrabske.

The Red Dot award is globally recognized international product design prize awarded by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Essen, Germany since 1954.
